Well, Adam's never been as good as a podcasting guy as he is as a writer and organizer. I guess I found it a bit irritating at first, too, but once I got into the mood I found myself laughing along. Although his view was certainly not a balanced one, I think he said some things to say about iWork that needed saying. Even if you don't agree that Apple is to blame, it's quite true that we're not seeing anything terribly innovative on that front, and things haven't really moved terribly far along in word processing since WordPerfect 3.1.

Chuck,
You should have disconnected AA's mike and sent him off to sober up or come down from the drugs. The worst show ever! I was embarrassed for you and the other guest. AA was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. He (and you) should realize that people actually listen to your podcast. Angst obviously doesn't have any regard or respect for himself, you, other guests, or the listening audience. I guess someone along his path of self destruction told him it was cute to act like an a**hole. I for one will not be listening to any more podcasts that involve him.

Chuck, that was the worst of your podcasts so far - and not your fault. The audio was bad, you were probably sharing a microphone in a room with a lot of echo, and Adams constant, silly giggling, made it hard to hear you as you were not allowed to finish your sentences.

Negative - i respect that Adam has other needs that the average consumer, so that is OK, but there were lots of words and not much of a message embedded.

After listening to quite a number of your podcasts, I really feel you need to look for alternative guest for a number of future shows.

Signal to noise ratio :-) - you did bring that point up in the show notes.

Well, enough of the critique , otherwise keep up the good work

Regards
Michael

Someone please inform Adam that it's perfectly possible to freeze headers and footers in Numbers, at least in '09.

Perhaps a little more time actually investigating the software, and a little less time being bigoted about it Adam ?

I have just been listening to your podcast with the Northeast Ohio Apple Corps.

You came to a section about switchers and I was rather annoyed when windows users or switchers were reffered to as impatient! I can remember getting my first Mac Mini just over a year ago and I loved it, now I'm no slouch as a computer user but the right click thing that was mentioned should be one that IS POINTED OUT to switchers especially if they are buying a MAc from an Apple Store, it IS NOT OBVIOUS for the average switcher, equally sitting in front of a keyboard thinking where on earth is the # key can be really annoying :-)
So please don't refer to switchers or windows switchers as impatient, as the ad says they "just want it to work".

Keep up the great podcasts.

Chuck,

I really enjoyed this episode of MacNotables. It was great to hear you, Adam, and Tonya discuss the wide variety of subjects, and to see the three of you reacting to each other was a real treat.

It might have been a lot of work, but for me, your hard work paid off.

Please consider doing more of these video podcasts.

It's worth pointing out the following to balance Bob LeVitus's review:

1) The previous 2 revisions of MacBook Pro also used LED backlighting - it's not a unique feature of the new model;
2) If the battery life of the new model appeared to match or better that of his old model, it *might* have been due to him comparing a brand new vs. used battery. Macworld's review of the new model shows it has a slightly lower battery life compared with the previous generation;
3) The Nvidia 9600 is faster than the previous model's 8600, but the more energy efficient 9400 definitely is not. It would be good to know exactly which MacBook Pro model Bob currently uses because it doesn't sound like the previous model with the 8600, which should have been able to play games pretty well.

I recently started listening to the MacNotables podcast and I really enjoy them.
I especially found this one useful. I've been looking for something like Visual Hub and I bought it and it works great! I really like that one can put several videos onto one DVD with this. And it converts just about anything into an iPod format.
Thanks for a great podcast.

I bought your fabulous IPHONE Fully Loaded a few weeks back. I am not your equal so I need your help. Be kind. I have downloaded Handbrake>successfully downloaded movies (I bought)>they appear in ITunes Movie>selected sync movies>but they never show up on my IPOD Touch. What have I not done correctly? Thank you for your help.
