Macworld's review of the new model shows it has a slightly lower battery life compared with the previous generation; 3) The Nvidia 9600 is faster than the previous model's 8600, but the more energy efficient 9400 definitely is not. It would be good to know exactly which MacBook Pro model Bob currently uses because it doesn't sound like the previous model with the 8600, which should have been able to play games pretty well.
