Hi Ted, Just listed to your pod cast about your new N base station, I enjoyed hearing your experiences. Why is everyone so excited about 802.11N, isnt 802.11g faster than most cable modems can download anyway. if that is true unless you are transfering large files on your home network, or your apple tv, is there really any reason to upgrade?

Is apple updating the firmware on your extreme card, ir something in the mac itself? Might just buying a new extreme card work with the n netework.

You mentioned that people were out of luck who had pre-core duo 2 macs, I imagine some second party n card might work, if you have an express or pci/mcia side slot in your macbook pro or powerbook. I know I use a g card on an early powerbook.

    thanks
